Mount Vernon
We had a nice day out at George Washington's Plantation "Mt Vernon." Michelle packed a lunch and we loaded up the little man. He didn't seem to mind (slept most of the day). We bought year-long passes last year and it's payed off - much to see on George's property. We usually avoid the lines for the house tour and wander around the gardens and farm. On this trip I spotted an Osprey with a freshly caught fish (right talon). (Thanks to Deggz for the Birds of Prey Recce from the other side of the planet!)

Nice shot Spank, that 'Hawk' is an endangered Osprey. A nice thing I noticed around the Chesapeake - they install nesting platforms for them on pylons in the water, nice and safe, encourages the recovery of the species. Good to see teh family out and about enjoying the spring weather. Cheers matey, Deggz
